  • 1 leg of lamb
  • several cloves of garlic, peeled and cut into large pieces
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cooking oil


Wash leg of lamb thoroughly with water and place in baking pan. Cut slits in lamb and insert cloves of garlic as desired. Season generously with salt and pepper. Add a couple of inches of water and a little bit of cooking oil to baking pan. Cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours at 425 degrees checking periodically to make sure there is still moisture in pan. If it appears that the outside is cooking quicker than inside, cover roast with foil and continue cooking until lamb is cooked through.
