  • 1 pound bulk sausage
  • 5 Tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 and 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Buttermilk biscuits*


1. In a large saute pan, brown sausage while breaking into small pieces.

2. When cooked and lightly browned, add flour. Cook for several minutes.

3. Add milk, salt, poultry seasoning, onion powder, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Serve hot over split, steaming hot biscuits. If the mixture becomes too thick, add some water or milk.
