Vacation Rentals in Lexington, Kentucky

Newly engaged couple Jessie and Bob are headed to Lexington, Kentucky, where the hills are rolling and the horses are galloping. Since the wedding is just around the corner, these lovebirds are ready to take a break from planning and enjoy a rejuvenating retreat in a historic city.
With historic landmarks, world-renowned bourbon, and countless thoroughbred farms, there's no shortage of things to do in Lexington.

As the horse capital of the world, Kentucky is home to major horse tracks, such as Keeneland and the Kentucky Horse Park. The excitement doesn't stop at top trotters. Historic landmarks, such as the Henry Clay Estate, are also located in Kentucky. And, don't forget the booze -- 96-percent of the world's bourbon is created in the Bluegrass State and Lexington is a prime stop on the famed Bourbon Trail.

Jessie and Bob are ready to experience all that Lexington has to offer, but first they need to find a week-long rental within their budget of $1,200.

For their perfect 'sweet retreat' they are looking for the following:

  • A great master bedroom
  • On or near a horse farm
  • A nice kitchen
  • Near attractions, nightlife and Bourbon Trail
Rene Syler will show them three unique vacation rentals in Lexington.

"We are both teachers. We actually met at work two and half years ago. Three months ago we went to Paris to be engaged, which is amazing. But the wedding is coming up very quickly and it has been very stressful trying to juggle everything," said Jessie. "My passion is horseback riding so a number of years I have had the opportunity to go down to Lexington for something called Games, which is a series of relay races on horseback. But the competition is hectic so I have never had the chance to relax and experience Lexington."

It rents for $1,120 a week. For more information visit homeaway.com.
