Explore A New Way To Vacation In The U.S. With The Newest Live Well Network Show "Sweet Retreats" Launching January 20, 2013
The Live Well Network announced the January 20 premiere of SWEET RETREATS, the latest addition to the lifestyle network's programming lineup. Each week, SWEET RETREATS will follow host René Syler as she helps travelers find the perfect locations for their family getaways, girls' retreats and more. The series will profile some unique vacation spots across the country, including a house-boat in Philadelphia, a townhouse in Nashville, and a high-end brownstone in Washington D.C. Viewers will even learn where to discover stays in a lighthouse, luxury teepee, retro mobile home and more throughout the season. Secret gems will be uncovered, showcasing endless options, every week.
"SWEET RETREATS continues to expand our travel category of programming and gives viewers fun insight into new ways to explore some of our nation's popular and obscure vacation destinations," said Peggy Allen, Vice President Programming for the network.
Each week, viewers will get a peek inside the various types of places available for rent all over the country, while learning tips for how to negotiate the best price for any stay and how to find the location best suited for individual needs. Every option comes with both perks and flaws, keeping viewers as invested in the decision making process as the travelers until the final decision is made.
The show's host, René Syler, first hit the national spotlight as anchor of CBS's THE EARLY SHOW before leaving the TV news world behind in 2006. Syler, who generated national headlines after undergoing a preventative double mastectomy, is also founder of GoodEnoughMother.com.
