Sarah Richardson has a beautifully distinctive style marked by her impeccable use of color and pattern. She stopped by the studio with some tips that she says will help everyone incorporate a little colour and pattern in to their own homes.
This bedroom has an analogous color scheme. The soft pallet keeps it from being too loud and the use of pattern keeps it interesting. When mixing many colours and patterns, the best bet is to keep the tones similar. You will notice here that everything is a pale pastel tones as to not compete with one another.
For those not afraid of pattern or colour, choose bold saturated tones that really pop. The inspiration for this space came from a small pillow, but was really brought to life with the antique rug hanging on the wall. Colour and pattern can be intimidating, but give it a try. It will really work to bring your space to life!
