Spumoni Sundae

  • 8 oz. mini Hershey kisses
  • 1 cup chocolate Nutella
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups frozen pitted cherries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons amaretto
  • 1 pint vanilla gelato
  • 1 pint pistachio gelato
  • Whipped cream
  • 1 cup crushed pistachios


1. In a double boiler, melt Hershey kisses, Nutella and heavy cream. Stir until blended well.

2. In another pan, put 4 cups of frozen pitted cherries. Add a 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water stir and cook until cherries are warm and soft and sugar is dissolved. Cook on low for 20 minutes and then add 2 tablespoons of Amaretto liquor.

3. In an ice cream dish, line the bottom of dish with chocolate Nutella sauce, place 2 scoops of vanilla and 1 scoop of pistachio gelato on top of chocolate sauce. Top with some cherries and whipped cream. Sprinkle with some chopped pistachios.
