Kheer -- Rice Pudding

    Ingredients Print Recipe

  • 4-6 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of uncooked rice
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 slivered almonds (optional)
  • yellow raisins (optional)
  • pinch of cardamom powder
  • can also use a Kheer mix package which contains all spices


Cook in crockpot on high for 1-2 hours, then on low for 4-6 hours, mixing every 1-2 hours. The longer you cook it, the richer and thicker that it gets. Serve hot or chilled.
