Brussels Sprouts with Prosciutto

  • 13 to 15 medium sized Brussels Sprouts
  • 6 Cloves of Garlic -- finely chopped
  • 8 oz. Prosciutto -- finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 large can Chicken Broth
  • ½
  • cup Red Wine
  • 2 tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar


Bring medium sized pot of lightly salted water to boil. Cut ends off Brussels sprouts and add to boiling water. Boil only until fork tender.

Drain sprouts, let cool, and cut into halves.

Add olive oil to sauce pan on medium heat. Cook garlic and prosciutto until garlic is golden. Then add chicken broth and wine. Bring to a boil.

Add halved Brussels sprouts to sauce pan and reduce heat to medium low. Add balsamic vinegar and simmer uncovered 8 to 10 minutes.

Serve and enjoy this delicious dish!
