Shop for Your Man

Shopping for a guy can be stressful, and the purchases aren't always well-received. So, here's the plan when shopping for your man!

Stylist Eric Himel says shopping for your man means taking him to the store with you! But before you go, make sure he puts some thought into what he likes.

"One of the things you need to consider is your lifestyle. What you do for work, and what you do for fun," Eric says.

Next, consider color. What does he like? What's he willing to try?

Then, consider fit.

"A lot of men wear things that are oversized, but especially with work, you want things fitted while still being comfortable," Eric advises.

Next, be sure to know his measurements! It doesn't have to be professionally done (although that's best). Eric says to get a measuring tape and measure his true waist, inseam (the inside of the leg), neck, and sleeve length.

If you still need tips to persuade him, Eric suggests asking him his favorite athlete or actor and going from there. Tip number two, always remember to compliment him along the way!

Lastly, if the budget question pops up, Eric says to remind him that good clothes and good fit are going to cost a little bit more. Just remember, a good relationship is all about communication, and so is shopping!
