Shellac Nails
It's a new nail polish that promises not to smudge, peel, knick or even chip, and the best part is there's no drying time! But is it too good to be true?
Just like a regular salon manicure, you put on a basecoat, two color coats and a topcoat, but the difference is in the drying. After each coat, the Shellac is "cured" for a few minutes under and ultraviolet light. The whole process will take about 45 minutes, and there are some other things to keep in mind.
Since the product is so new, there are only about a dozen colors to choose from and to take it off you have to go back to the salon where each nail has to be wrapped and soaked. One of these manicures also costs around $50 so that's about 50% more than a regular manicure, but it could last 50% longer.
