"It's refreshing to see women dressing like ladies again and we have Kate to thank for that," says Denise.
Tina adds," What's really neat about Kate is her style is very attainable for most of us. She'll shop at Top Shop or Zara and she mixes it with more expensive pieces."
Here are their tips for creating similar ladylike style:
- Keep it simple and avoid over embellishing.
- Keep silhouettes clean, steamlined and elegant.
- Keep the proportions correct. Wear slim fitting pants with flowy tops and vice versa.
- Take an old fashioned fabric (like tweed) and update it with more contemporary pieces.
- Wear longer hemlines to look more ladylike.
- Try hats! Pillbox is an old-fashioned favorite.
- Kate is bringing pantyhose back! Try them, but ONLY in sheer nude, no shimmer.
- Coat dresses and shirt dresses are ALWAYS classic.
- Choose solids over busy patterns.
- No plunging necklines, not a lot of skin in general, but do show a little leg!
