New Beauty Musts

The best thing about the beauty industry is it's always evolving. Rachel Gower is always testing out new products for her salon. She's sharing the best of what she's recently tried.

"No matter what your beauty need is, there's usually something new hitting the market that's designed to give you the results you're after," she says.

To turn back the hands of time at night, check out the Rodan and Fields anti-aging line. It has a cleanser, toner, serum, and special facial roller for about $200.

If you struggle with fine or limp hair, Nioxin has a new product called Diamax. It uses three key ingredients to coat the hair shaft and make it thicker. Over time, it claims to make the hair shaft larger, decreasing the risk of breakage. You can find it for about $50 at salons.

One of the newest lash conditioners/growth serums on the market, Talika Lipocils Expert, is based on technology from 1948 that was used to treat burn victims (they saw lash growth after using it). Today, you can find it for about $40 at drugstores, like Walgreens.

"There's always some kind of fabulous new makeup coming onto the market, but when Chanel creates something new, we really take notice. The newest shadow in the Chanel Ombre line is a mousse shadow," explains Rachel. The long-wearing, ultra-shimmery mousse can be worn as a highlighter, eye liner or shadow and is available for about $36 at department stores.

Rachel loves the newest mascaras with fibers in the formulas. One of the newest ones is Too Faced Better Than False Lashes for about $35 at stores, like Sephora.

One of the newest nail trends is caviar nails, or nail polish that looks like it's covered in sprinkles. Ciate's Caviar Manicure kit is about $25 at stores like Sephora and you can do it at home!

One of the newest teeth whitening systems on the market is from a company called GLO. It features a gel that does a better job of staying put and off your gums, and by using it for about 30 minutes a day for 5-10 days you should be able to get your teeth up to eight shades whiter. It's about $275 at Sephora and other stores.
