Mixed martial arts is a workout trend that's becoming more and more popular as a way to stay in shape, learn a new skill and practice some self-defense moves at the same time. However, you don't have to be a fighter to try it out.

It's a combination of jujitsu, judo, boxing, wrestling and sambo. Tony Torres-Aponte, owner of Urban Jungle, says, "It's cardio. It's anaerobic. It's aerobic. There's strengthening. It's everything. There's flexibility. There's breathing aspects to it. On top of all of that, it's really emotional& You're going to come to this class because it's going to make you feel very strong. It's going to make you feel safe. And it's going to really add a maybe part of your life that's missing through trying other sports. It's going to make you feel really confident with yourself."
