How to Wear Army Trend with Camouflage

One of this season's hot fashion trends is camouflage! Here's how some of Mirror/Mirror's favorite fashionistas are wearing the trend, giving us all ideas to be locked and loaded in this Army-style of the season.

Rebecca's Tips

Rebecca bought a camouflage jacket years ago, so she's excited that camo is trendy again this season.

"When I think camo, I think rough and tough, so I usually like to pair it with more feminine pieces," says Rebecca.

She paired a camo jacket with a peach printed dress and orange beads. To keep with the army look, she adds a grey bootie.

Valerie Dittner

Valerie Dittner, a fashion blogger and buyer, says you can pair camo with unexpected items.

"When you think camo, you think outdoors, you think Army, you think rugged, but you don't think of putting it with heels and wearing it out for night," says Valerie.

She pairs a camo t-shirt from the Army surplus store with a military-style cream jacket, tweed shorts, black tights and black pumps. By pairing a camo t-shirt with ladylike pieces she takes camo from the outdoors to indoors!

Magen Pastor

Image consultant and lifestyle blogger Magen Pastor also hits the fashion battlefield in camoflage.

"Army is a huge trend for fall and it never seems to go out of style, it just keeps getting updated each season," says Magen.

Magen brings her zippered camo pants out of the trenches and gives them a feminine flair. She pairs the pants with something unexpected -- a floral sheer button-up blouse -- which works because the floral print has the same color scheme as the pants. She adds heels and a delicate gold tasseled necklace to complete the outfit with a chic salute.

Lindsay Mousoudakis

Lindsay, owner of Muse Boutique, says you don't necessarily need camo to get the army trend.

"The Army trend to me is choosing a piece that's Army inspired -- not literal camo -- but the cargo short in an army color like green," she says.

With the rest of the outfit, she adds femininity with a ruffled vest. She adds color with a red and white striped shirt. She adds flirt with bootie and a little bit of leg. For accessories, Lindsay keeps everything simple with a cross body bag and animal inspired bangles.

"With the army inspired look, the last thing you want to do is look like a soldier, so pick one main piece," says Lindsay.

Nikki Washington

Stylist and blogger Nikki also loves camo-inspired colors when rocking the army trend.

"The military trend is all about structure and keeping the neutrals key," says Nikki.

She anchors her outfit with olive skinny jeans and khaki-colored booties. Then, adds a shot of orange with a peplum top. She accessorizes this trend easily with military-inspired metal accessories.
