Cult Classics

There are beauty products that have been industry secrets as long as time. Now, stylists and makeup artists want you to join the club. They'll tell you what you need and what makes an item a perennial must.

Makeup Artist Darcie Teasley explains why these products are good enough to be called Cult Classics.

Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat (or Radiant Touch)
Darcie says: It's the number one cosmetic on the market. It is best used as an under eye concealer and a highlighter. If it's the only thing to have in your bag, it's the best thing to have in your bag.

NARS Orgasm Blush
Darcie says: Nars Orgasm Blush is one of the best products on the market because of its nice, sheer texture. It's not too pigmented. It's nice for highlighting certain areas, especially the cheekbones, and it's a great price point. Everyone can wear it.

Tweezerman Tweezers
Darcie says: Tweezerman's famous slant tweezers have been around for a really, really long time. Why? You don't have to have them resharpened. Available to everybody at every beauty supply place. The price is good and they last forever.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler
Darcie says: The Shu Uemura is a cult classic for several reasons. They come in stainless steel, nickel or black. They also come with a replacement bumper because it needs to be replaced after six months. But what sets it apart is that it will begin to shape to your eye over time. It's almost like putting a shoe on that fits just perfect.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
Darcie says: I can't say enough about this product. One of the oldest formulas of mascara on the market, it's still doing its job after all these years. Super black. Long lasting. Nice in separation and not expensive.

Chanel Glossimer
Darcie says: These are fantastic lip glosses. They're non-sticky. They're long-lasting. They come in a variety of colors from very matte to very shimmery to transparent with shimmer.

Kiehl Crème de Corps
Darcie says: An absolute must-have body moisturizer for everybody, any skin type. Fragrance free, dye free. They say that after ten days your skin is completely changed as a result of using the product. I don't think you have to use it ten days to understand the hydrating that it gives you.

L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray
Darcie says: The ultra fine mist allows a good hold a great hold - but you can brush through the product as well. Not a lot of hairsprays can do that. This is my absolute favorite, favorite hairspray product.
