Laura McKenzie, celebrates a 2009 EMMY NOMINATION for her High Definition television travel series: "LAURA McKENZIE'S TRAVELER." She was also nominated for an Emmy last year for Outstanding writing. Her episode VIETNAM won the prestigious 2010 GRACIE AWARD for 'Outstanding Magazine' from the Alliance for Women in Media, (AWM).

Laura McKenzie is the world's most trusted and experienced television travel host. She has been around the world many times and is not only familiar with where to go and what to do, but her travel savvy and famous "travel tips" have saved millions of viewers valuable vacation time when planning their trips. Famous for "telling it like it is," her knowledge is recognized and her candor appreciated by global travel authorities as well as tourists. Her understanding of contemporary travel problems make her programs a "must consult" for professional and leisure travelers alike.

Behind her skilled appraisal of today's travel situation lies 20 years of award winning television shows, record breaking travel videos, critically acclaimed travel books, and numerous guest appearances on all the major television shows including the CBS EARLY SHOW, OPRAH! and EXTRA as a travel expert.

She received a 2009 Emmy nomination for her current series, and has won several industry awards including Telly Awards, Davie Awards, Hermes Awards and more.

She began her career as an NBC reporter and it was there that she developed and became recognized for her informative two minute "Travel Tips" segments. These instructive news segments were syndicated nationally throughout the 1980's.

Laura wrote, hosted and produced 42 home video travel guides for Republic Pictures and in the early 90's she was awarded BILLBOARD MAGAZINE'S "NUMBER #1 AWARD" and BILLBOARD MAGAZINE'S "VIDEO OF THE DECADE" award for the longest running title in the number one position in the special interest category for "LAURA MCKENZIE'S TRAVEL TIPS: HAWAII!"

Her daily travel reports have aired on the Westwood One and NBC radio networks in the "America in the Morning" show, with favorite topics from business travel tips to travel gadget reviews.

Her syndicated Sunday newspaper column, "LAURA MCKENZIE'S TRAVEL TIPS" were read in newspapers across the country.

Laura co-hosted "AMERICAN ADVENTURER" for 10 years with ERIK ESTRADA, seen on KCAL 9 in Los Angeles, and syndicated to 170 stations in the U.S. and in 100 countries around the world, winning two Telly Awards for "Best Hosts".

Laura is the featured travel writer for USA WEEKEND MAGAZINE. In 2009 she was the featured cover for the Fall Travel issue.

Laura reunites with Erik Estrada to host "WORLD'S FUNNIEST MOMENTS" a brand new series for 2010.

They are also teaming to host "THE 2009 and 2010 HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS PARADE", airing LIVE from Hollywood, California.

Laura spends most of her time writing and traveling the world for her syndicated high definition series, LAURA MCKENZIE'S TRAVELER, currently seen in over 180 markets including KCBS Channel 2 in Los Angeles.
