Lisa's Housekeeping Myths
Lisa shares some housekeeping myths.
Myth: You must fold your fitted sheets.
No you don't have to. Roll them up and put them away. No one will ever know. Plus once you put the sheet on the bed, most of the wrinkles will disappear.
Myth: Bleach cleans everything.
Not always the case plus, it's really toxic and only disinfects. Try natural cleaners like Method, which you can buy at Target or online at www.methodhome.com.
Myth: Newspaper cleans glass.
Avoid doing this because the ink can smear and is toxic. Use a microfiber cloth instead.
Myth: Hairspray will remove ink from upholstery.
Hairspray used to be made mostly of alcohol which helped remove stains, but that is no longer the case. So now it doesn't work. Use alcohol or vodka instead. Soak a cotton ball in alcohol or vodka and clean area. Hire a professional if it's too hard to remove.
Myth: You must dust every week.
Dusting spray can leave a residue that attracts even more dust. Swifter in between bi-monthly dustings.
Myth: You need different cleaners for different jobs.

Myth: You have to scrub your floors .
