Man Cake

  • 1 Box Cake Batter Mix
  • 4 Thin Orange Slices (1/4 wedges)
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Raspberry-Flavored Extract
  • 4 Peeled Pineapple Slices
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Blueberries
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Cups Water


Follow cake recipe instructions on box. Heavy foil or double line the foil, pushing in the shape of a bowl or pan make sure to line the foil with either cooking oil or butter. Cook on slow steady heat indirect on campfire or barbeque grill for about 25-35 minutes or until cake takes on consistency of an upside down pineapple cake, dense and moist.

If cake does not work out, let it cool in foil, then drop kick it in the air like a football. Pop open a beer and try another time.

Mix together the whipping cream, powdered sugar and the extract until you get a nice, thick lather.

Cut 4 slices of pineapple and sear on barbeque. Coat the pineapple in brown sugar on both sides and cook slowly in low heat until caramelized. Let pineapple cool and then cut into quarter pieces on spread onto cake. Make sugar water by combining sugar and water, and soak blueberries for 10 minutes. Strain berries and spread on your man cake.

Top everything off by sprinkling 1 1/2 tsp of table salt. Be proud and enjoy your man cake.
