Hearty Muffaletta Sandwich

  • 1/2 pound Provolone or Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 pound sliced Italian coppa thinly sliced
  • 1/3 pound prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 pound pancetta, thinly sliced
  • 4 large Italian sandwich rolls

Directions

To make the sandwich, layer 2 slices of cheeses and 2 slices each of the cold cuts on one side of the roll. Layer a generous amount of olive dressing (click here for the dressing recipe) over the meats and top with the other half of the roll. Cut the sandwich in half and serve.

* Muffaletta refers to that famous New Orleans Italian loaf sandwich of cold cuts, cheese, and a unique dressing made from chopped olives, capers, and other goodies. Use really high quality Italian cold cuts such as Coppa, Prosciuoto, Pancetta for La Quercia (www.laquercia.com)
