Turkey Grilled Cheese

  • Roast Turkey Breast, sliced
  • Swiss Cheese, sliced
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/4 Cup Cranberry Sauce (from can)
  • 1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 2 tbsp. Butter (room temperature)
  • Multi-Grain Bread
  • Pinch Salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice whole onion making thin slices. Heat butter in a sauté pan over medium heat and caramelize the onions until golden brown (8-10 minutes). Add pinch of salt. Place caramelized onion into a bowl and combine with cranberry sauce. Spread Dijon mustard on one side of the multi-grain bread slices. Top one slice of bread with Swiss cheese, caramelized onion cranberry mixture, turkey breast, and tomato, Swiss cheese and the other slice of bread. Spread butter on the outside of the bread slices. Place buttered sandwich in sauté pan over medium-low heat until bread is golden brown on each side then finish sandwich in the oven until cheese has melted.
