Salted Caramel Frosting

  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce (can be store bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt


Using a mixture blend the butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

Add the powdered sugar in batches until smooth.

Blend in the caramel sauce (click here for a homemade recipe) and sea salt until smooth.

This frosting pairs well with chocolate or vanilla cake.
