Martin Yan's Sesame Lesson

Chef Martin Yan shows Ryan Scott the benefits of cooking with sesame seeds and sesame oil.

Martin Yan's tips on using sesame seeds and oil:

1. When toasting sesame seeds do not use oil because there already is a lot of oil within the seeds, you should just let alone in a pan.

2. Roasted sesame seed oil should be dark brown in color, you should only use a little when cooking Asian cuisine to give your dish an aroma and fragrance.

3. Sesame seeds can be used for a "crunch" on top of any salad.
