Chef Ryan Scott Cooks Up Romantic Dinner with Aphrodisiac Foods

Chef Ryan Scott helps you spice up your love life by cooking with aphrodisiacs: chocolate, lobster and a few more that just might surprise you. Plus, Ryan visits the kitchen of Chef Hubert Keller to learn the secret of romantic oysters on the half shell.
If you're looking for a way to impress your sweetheart,Chef Ryan Scott says it's all about aphrodisiacs. In fact, Ryan has a friend named Steve who needs his help. Steve wants to make a really special dinner for his wife Tara, but he doesn't know where to begin so Ryan agrees to help him.

Before he meets up with Steve, Ryan needs some inspiration. He spends the day with the king of romance: Chef Hubert Keller! Chef Hubert Keller's world renowned restaurant, Fleur de Lys, is one of the most romantic dinner places in San Francisco. After successfully running several restaurants and being happily married for over 30 years, Chef Hubert and his wife give some advice to Ryan about everlasting love.

"We work, we laugh and we live together," says Chantal Keller, Chef Hubert's wife. "And we have fun!"

Chef Hubert says it's not only about what food you choose, but how it tastes and how it's presented, because it sets the mood. Chef Hubert shows Ryan how to put together a tasty and beautiful oyster presentation. Oysters are full of zinc, which has a positive effect on the libido. Chef Hubert serves the oysters with a margarita sorbet. Ryan asks if tequila is an aphrodisiac.

"After you drink enough of it, it becomes an aphrodisiac," jokes Chef Hubert.

To make a romantic presentation, Chef Hubert serves the oysters on a dish filled with dry ice, which lets off a mist as water is added. Ryan can't wait to try them.

"Oh my gosh, I think I fell in love with you more," says Ryan to Chef Hubert. "Don't tell your wife I said that."

After learning more secrets about in-the-mood food, Ryan takes his own aphrodisiac ingredients and comes up with a few recipes to share with his friend Steve for the big date he has planned with his wife. Ryan shows Steve how to make a mouth-watering lobster salad, a flirty cocktail, and a rich, and a sinful chocolate tart - everything packed full of aphrodisiacs. Will the ingredients work their magic?

Steve's wife Tara comes home and is pleasantly surprised to see her husband all dressed up next to a table set for her. Ryan decides to join them at the table, which is a bit odd considering it's supposed to be a romantic meal for two. He describes each dish and waits to see Tara's reaction. Of course, she loves it.

By the end of the meal, Ryan realizes it is a bit awkward to hang around. It doesn't really seem to matter to Steve and Tara because they are completely lost in each other's eyes, not even paying attention to Ryan's goodbye. Ryan decides to let the couple enjoy the rest of their night and leaves a little heart-shaped "Do Not Disturb" sign on their doorknob.
