Strawberries Mexicana

  • 2 pints Fresh strawberries, washed
  • 1 Cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 Cup Sour cream
  • 1 Cup Dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • ¼
  • tsp Ground nutmeg
  • ¼
  • tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp Coffee-flavored liqueur


Combine sauce ingredients in the bowl of electric mixer and beat with a wire whip until thickened. Chill until ready to serve. Use as a dip for whole berries, or as a sauce spooned over sliced strawberries. The sauce can be prepared in advance and will keep, refrigerated, about 5 days.
