  • 1 - 8 ounce bottle of Newman's Own Olive Oil and Vinegar Dressing
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 large CHILLED salad bowl
  • 1 bag Dole American Blend Salad
  • 4-5 slices Red Onion
  • 4-6 Black Olives
  • 2-4 Whole Pepperoncini Peppers
  • 1/2 cup Croutons
  • 1 small Roma Tomato, Sliced Into Wedges
  • Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions

For the dressing, remove about 2 TBSP. of oil from the bottle of dressing. Replace with the rest of the ingredients -- garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, sugar -- and shake well. Refrigerate 24 hours before using.

Toss all together in a large CHILLED salad bowl and serve with homemade bread sticks that have been brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with garlic powder and freshly grated parmesan cheese while still warm.
