Repurpose Cabinet Doors
Janie Ellis from Anything But Plain was up to the challenge of repurposing old cabinet doors and transforming them into functional pieces for the home.
Serving Tray:
1. One kitchen or vanity cabinet door - clean with soap and water and dry
2. Paint door using "Annie Sloane" Chalk Paint, any color, let dry
3. Using clear or tinted wax to seal surface
4. Apply handles to carry tray
Chalk Board:
1. One kitchen or vanity cabinet door - clean with soap and water and dry
2. Paint door using "Annie Sloane" Chalk Paint, any color, let dry
3. Take white chalk and rub over entire surface and then dust off, this makes the surface accept the chalk when you write on it - it is now finished
4. Decorate with rick rack, stick on designs, etc. to create a decorative chalk board for any room in the house
5. If you want to change the color later, just wipe with warm water to remove chalk residue and repaint with another color of Chalk Paint and repeat steps
