Make Hair Products at Home

Using expensive shampoos and conditioners can be like washing money down the drain.

Nora Kapche, the Coupon Contessa, stretches her dollar by making her own shampoo, condition and deodorant.

"It's not hard at all, it only takes really about 3-5 minutes to put it together and store it," says Nora.

Here are the recipes:

Basic Shampoo:
1/4 cup distilled water, 1/4 cup of castile soup, 1/2 teaspoon of jojoba oil

Refreshing Shampoo:
1/4 cup distilled water, 1/4 cup peppermint castile soap, 1 1/2 tsp jojoba oil, 1/8 tsp tea tree essential oil, 1/8 tsp peppermint essential oil

Tropical Shampoo:
1/4 cup distilled water, 1/4 cup peppermint castile soap, 1 1/2 tsp jojoba oil,10 drops vanilla fragrance oil, 10 drops of coconut fragrance oil

Remove Build-Up:
1/4 cup baking soda, water

Final Rinse:
1/4 cup vinegar or apple cider vinegar, 1 cup water

Conditioner:
1/2 cup mayonnaise, let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes

Deodorant:
1/2 cup arrow root powder, 1/4 cup baking soda, 5 to 7 TBSP coconut oil, 5 drops each tea tree oil and peppermint oil
