Build a Whole Wardrobe Around Two Dresses

Nicole Brewer, style expert for David's Bridal, helps you save money by showing you how to transform two simple dresses -- one black and one white -- into a variety of looks.

Black and white is a classic color combination, it's in everybody's wardrobe, and you can dress it up or dress it down.

A plain white dress is so versatile. You can wear it to any occasion by just changing up your accessories.

"I love this white dress because it is an updated one shoulder dress because it's got this flower embellishment, how cute is that?" says Nicole. "It's fun, It's flirty, you can really have fun with this dress, but you really wear it to any special event. A cocktail party, a graduation, it just goes anywhere."

Nicole adds a jean jacket and cowboy boots.

"You are ready for a summer picnic or a party in the park!" says Nicole.

Nicole also takes the white dress and adds pretty pink pumps and a white cardigan. Then, she transforms the dress into a whole separate look with a black belt and shoes!

A little black dress is also a good wardrobe investment. You should look for something that is simple.

"What I love about this dress is that it's a simple black dress, but it has a embellished neckline," says Nicole.

Nicole adds floral shoes and a matching handbag for one look.

"It's fun, its flirty and its pretty enough to pair it with this black dress," says Nicole.

For a completely separate look, Nicole puts a red belt with the dress.

"Now black and red another classic combination. Black and red looks so hot right and it's so beautiful right here drawing special attention to your waistline, which we all want. And you can just pair it with really elegant pumps, a bag, and you're ready for any special event," says Nicole.

For another look, Nicole adds sparkly accessories and a white blazer.
